EXC 3DMM2O: ERC Advanced Grants for Groundbreaking Research

Two Principal Investigators of the Cluster of Excellence 3D Matter Made to Order - 3DMM2O have secured valuable research funding through the ERC Advanced Grant, one of the most prestigious and competitive funding programs in Europe, provided by the European Research Council (ERC).
Prof. Dr. Wolfram Pernice (Kirchhoff Institute for Physics, Heidelberg University.) received ERC funding for his project, PICNIC. This project investigates how photonic circuits using physical randomness can drive a new generation of probabilistic, light-based computing.
Prof. Dr. Jana Zaumseil (Institute for Physical Chemistry, Universität Heidelberg) received funding for her project, SCALE-NT. This project aims to develop sustainable methods for processing semiconducting carbon nanotubes. Biodegradable materials, such as cellulose, are used as supporting agents to replace harmful chemicals in the processing steps.
CONGRATULATIONS!
