  The Symposium of the Hector Fellow Academy will take place on July 7, 2022 at 6 pm as a hybrid event, you can decide to join in peron at the "Konzerthaus" in Karlsruhe or online.
It will be dedicated to the topic of 3D printing with applications from the engineering sciences and the life sciences under the title "3D Printing - Customized and at the Push of a Button".

 - Talk: "3D laser printing towards the nanometer scale" from Prof. Dr. Martin Wegener, Institute of Applied Physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), spokesman of the Cluster of Excellence 3D Matter Made to Order (3DMM2O), and president of the Hector Fellow Academy (HFA)
 - Talk: "Engineering personalized tissue implants - From 3D printing to bionic organs" from Prof. Dr. Tal Dvir, Professor at the Department of Biotechnology Tel Aviv University (Israel), Director of the Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine and Director of the Sagol Center for Regenerative Biotechnology
 - Closing words: Dr.-Ing. Judith Elsner, Managing Director of the Hector Fellow Academy
 
The annual symposia of the Hector Fellow Academy aim at placing current scientific issues in a socio-political context. Discussion rounds promote the dialogue between science and the public and help to initiate forward-looking discourses.
